Very clean except for a gift inscription in ink at the top of the opposite side of the ffep, before the half title page. Inside of both boards and the endpapers has caricatures of many of the people who met there. 160 pages full of black & white pictures throughout plus an index of the forementioned caricatures. Dark brown front boards with a black derby, gold and white lettering are in very good condition with only minimal wear.

This tells the story of Robert Cobb who owned the restaurant (as well as the one in Beverly Hills). Written by his wife, it shows the "Hat" in its heyday and relays many stories and photographs previously unpublished. Included are photographs of many famous actors and actresses, recipes from the restaurant, and an index. This copy is clean and solid. It is SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR (Mark Willems) on the title page.
