The author meticulously describes 57 species of nemerteans from the Pacific coast of North America, including seven not previously recorded in the region. Comparing these species to their European counterparts, the author sheds light on the remarkable similarity between the nemertean faunas of the Pacific coast and those of Europe and the Mediterranean Sea. The book provides valuable insights into the distribution, anatomy, and evolutionary relationships of nemerteans, highlighting the abundance and diversity of these fascinating creatures in this coastal region. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
