A leaflet by Collective Intentions, illustrated with a detour- nement of the film poster for the first Aliens film. Within the egg of the original image is superimposted a photograph of a weld- er at work. The text verso was an essay not only on the recently released film, but also deals with Star Wars, 2001, and the role of Horror films in general. The text at the foot of the image is copyrighted "1979 Twentieth Century Fix" and begins "STARRING YOU AS YOURSELF, AT WORK, AT HOME, OUT SHOPPING, IN YOUR LEI- SURE TIME CO-STARRING WAGE LABOR, SURPLUS VALUE, & COMMODITY CULTURE." The image on the poster was resurrected and modified twenty years later for the Seattle WTO demonstrations, specifically the Carnival Against Capital Event, preserving the original design but adding the phrase "Smash The WTO" above the title.
