Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Good. Third Edition. Very good 3rd edition hardcover in good dj. Beautiful gilt lettering on red hardboards with a square imprint on front cover has slight shelf wear along bottom edge, head of spine has a touch of color loss and tips are showing a smidge of wear. Professionally reproduced, price clipped dust jacket does have some age staining, a 3" closed tear along gutter and a couple of other small closed tears but none effect the title and it shows well in new mylar. Front paste down has an old book store stamp on it, a white-out spot covering a name on FEP and there are several pages that seem to have been hard pressed open but all 325 pages are going nowhere. A practical guide to horse ownership with 80 b/w photos. "Colonel Timmis has long been an authority on the breeding and training of horses. So long ago as 1929 when he made a revision of Modern Horse Management the book had already taken its place as the standard work on this subject. He has now revised his book from beginning to end in the light of much experience and has brought up to date the methods and rules he advocates. He lays down a scheme for the management of stables, both with a view to their economical and effective running and to health and well-being of horses He puts forward, too, suggestions and views on harnessing that are the result of much experience. This guide to horse management will be a help alike to those who breed or own saddle horses and to owners and users of draught animals.
