They cover the period from 1868 to 1894. However, please note that the publication dates and specific editions/versions vary - see note towards the end of this descri…ption. The format of each book is the same with the condition of each also being more or less similar. The following comments therefore apply to all four books; unless stated otherwise. Crimson cloth with Robert Louis Stevenson?s initials in gilt on the upper board. Titles and decorative patterns along the spine: (vols I-III are in gilt; with vols I & II slightly faded. Vol IV: patterning and text appears to be black and non-gilt). Mild to moderate tanning throughout; especially on the preliminary pages (including on the frontispiece?s tissue guard) - and also on the final pages. Bumped to the head of the boards to Vol XIV. Hinges starting to Vol I, and front hinge slightly strained to Vol V and XIV. Internally, firmly bound.
