A feature of special interest which attaches to this volume of the Proceedings of the Association is the collection of reports from nearly all the large cities along the line of the proposed waterway, relating to the revival of interest in water transportation and the local activity which has resulted there from and which promises, even before the waterway has been constructed, to give to each city control of its water front, and an opportunity to construct suitable terminals for the development of independent lines of transportation.
