Ralston (b. 1930) spent three years at the Bell Labs, worked on the Nike Zeus antiballistic missile system, and was awarded a patent for a "track initiator" for sorting and categorizing the trajectories of incoming missiles. Wilf (1931-2012) was a mathematician who specialized in combinatorics and graph theory.…
