Aggiungi al carrelloMass Market Paperback. Condizione: Good. Maguire, Bob (Robert) (illustratore). Second Paperback Edition. Pyramid Book G387. Originally published in the US by Dial Press in 1941 as 'The Peacock is a Gentleman' and then in paperback by Lion in 1953. All editions of this novel are surprisingly hard to come across with this Pyramid edition from 1959 particularly rare. Light edge wear to covers with one inch band of fading down the right side of the rear covre next to the spine. Quite heavy reading creasing to the spine which is chipped at the top and bottom. Browning to page edges with an uneven text block edge - the binding feels secure but the book needs careful handling. Brown spotting to the insides of the covers. Previous owner's name in pen to the first page and the pages are browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. First printing of the Pyramid edition. Cover illustration by Bob Maguire. Postage charge will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed.
