Attractive half crimson morocco covers, a little uneven fading and the cloth very slightly frayed at the edge, this does not affect the morocco spine. Vol 2 has a very small piece torn from the title page, well away from the printed surface.…. * A fine example of an extra-illustrated book. In 1796 James Granger published a "Biographical History of England" with blank leaves for the addition of portraits, etc. to be illustrated by the purchaser, hence GRANGERISED. Books thus illustrated are often finely bound, and filled with neatly inserted illustrations. This example is three times the size of the published work.…
