Nachdem die handwerklich geprägten Manufakturen von den großen industriellen Massenbetrieben abgelöst wurden, bestand also zum ersten Mal Bedarf an der Entwicklung ausgefeilter arbeitsorganisatorischer Ansätze und Ideen. In eben diese Zeit fällt das Wirken der beiden von uns betrachteten Protagonisten. Nach einem kurzen Einblick in den biografischen Hintergrund beider Personen soll es in dieser Abhandlung hauptsächlich um die Darstellung beider Theorien gehen. Eine kritische Auseinandersetzung gegen Ende scheint jedoch aus heutiger Sicht unumgänglich. Die Informationen dieser schriftlichen Ausarbeitung stammen aus den Werken 'Organisationstheorien' (Kieser, A. 2011) und 'Industrie- und Arbeitssoziologie' (Mikl-Horke, G. 2001). Um dem wissenschaftlichen Anspruch dieser Arbeit gerecht zu werden befindet sich am Ende zusätzlich ein ausführliches Literaturverzeichnis. Ebenso wie die mündliche Präsentation wurde auch diese schriftliche Ausarbeitung arbeitsteilig erstellt. Während sich Alexander Cowell mit Henry Ford und der Gegenüberstellung beider Personen befasste, lag der Schwerpunkt bei Lukas Baumann auf Taylor und einer kritischen Auseinandersetzung mit beiden Ideen. Um einen reibungslosen Lesefluss zu gewährleisten wurde die finale Ausformulierung jedoch gemeinsam erstellt. 20 pp. Deutsch.
