It starts with the native Indian population found by the Spanish explorers and the following missions and Mexican periods. It then gives a general history of the county. The rest of the book is devoted to short (3-5 pages) histories of each city in the county. Included are illustrations, photographs, maps, chapter references, an essay on Orange County historians, cited references, and an index; with a fold-out time line chart. This copy is clean and solid.
