Illustrated by two of the then finest illustrators Arthur Szyk (Andersen) and Fritz Kredel ( Grimm) both German emigrés fleeing Hitler. Scattered toning and foxing to pages. Offsetting to front illustration and title page, tissue guard present but loose. A nice copy, scarce.

Hardcover.  Blue boards lightly soiled and shelfworn, with light wear along edges, spine ends and 2 edge points gently bumped. Gilt on spine still bright. Internally end-pages age-toned, but free of previous owners marks or signatures, but with a small bookseller ticket to inside rear board. A few pages have the top outer edge creased but otherwise a very good, clean copy. The binding is tight and hinges intact.

Condizione: Good. Mild shelf wear, with scuffs to extemities. Light knocks to corners. Gentle fading to covers, mainly at top. Mild tanning throughout, contents all legible.
