Near fine in 2 volumes, in green cloth and red cloth with front cover pastedowns 3 X 3.5 in. in a green slipcase, which shows wear to the front (open) edges. A very nice set, uncommon thus. Illustrated by two of the then finest illustrators Arthur Szyk (Andersen) and Fritz Kredel ( Grimm) both German emigrés fleeing Hitler. A few pages have the top outer edge creased but otherwise a very good, clean copy. The binding is tight and hinges intact.
