Crippa (1921-1972) was een kunstenaar, maar ook een vliegenier in de beste Italiaanse traditie, een kunstvliegenier: een groot beoefenaar van de aërobatiek. Bij de voorbereiding voor de wereldkampioenschappen aërobatiek 1972 kwam hij in zijn Zlin Trenér bij een vliegongeluk om het leven. Een sereen boek.
