hardcover. Condizione: near fine. First. Title vignette and 38 circular engraved plates printed with wide margins on one side only, with mottoes in Latin and Dutch. Each plate followed by short descriptive text in Latin. (iv), 76 pages. Slim 4to, handsomely rebound in recent full green morocco with simple gilt and blind-stamped borders. Amstelaeldami: Apud Franciscum vander Plaats, 1704. Some offsetting and occasional fingermarks and marginal soiling, still a near fine copy. A charming Dutch Emblem book, with plates that had previously appeared in F. Egger's "Elegantissimorum emblematum corpusculum", 1696, and, later, in "Acht en dertig zinnebeelden," 1737.

A lovely example of this Dutch emblem book, using plates that had previously appeared in a Leiden printing, "Elegantissimorum Emblematum" in 1696.
