Large scrapbook style album published by the Vancouver Sun commemorating the donation of a John Innes painting of President Harding in Vancouver to the National Press Club. Album contains facsimilies of 89 letters and two telegrams giving thanks to the Vancouver Sun for the gift. The letters are from are from politicians (including Herbert Hoover) and newspaper offices for the most part. The attention to detail in this album is very striking. Many of the letters have embossed seals. There is some discussion about how the letters were recreated with such accuracy and the assumption is that the Vancouver Sun asked for genuine pieces of stationery from each of the included authors. "Two great and virile peoples are today giving a troubled world a demonstration of practical Christianity in that spirit of fair dealing which has permitted them to live and work in peace and harmony along a boundary line which is nearly 4,000 miles long and which for more than 100 years has been without a fort or soldier to police it," Hoover wrote.
