George Crouter worked at The Denver Post for over 25 years as their staff photographer and for many of those years he also took photos for Empire Magazine, a Sunday publication of The Denver Post. From his popular series in Empire Magazine came this book. His photos document many of Colorado's 53 peaks with elevations of 14,000 feet or more. To capture these photos, Crouter went on quite an adventure. He traveled hundreds of miles - on foot and horse, in car, four-wheeler, and plane.
