Philip Allen explains in his foreword that Harvey Dager was a fixture in Ambler PA for more than half a century, buying and selling antiques (and junque, I am sure). Prior to his death in 1945, Mr. Allen prevailed on him to write his life story, which he did by hand in a composition book. It is reprinted here with all his misspellings and unusual usages, beginning with his birth in 1870. The covers are lightly soiled and the pages are age-toned, but the text is clean.
