Interviews with and monologues by residents of impoverished villages in western Sicily, collected by the Italian sociologist, poet, and apostle of non-violent action. Small trade paperback (~5" x 8"), shelf wear and rubbed along edges of spine, stains to a couple of pages as from laid-in newspaper clippings. Underscoring and/or marginalia on ~15 pages of the main text, mostly small pencil marks in margins; heavier annotation by former owner Prof. Ann E. Berthoff in the introduction (highly critical) and Dolci's preface (appreciative).
