Liebert, 1872, 2 albums, oblong format , 21 x 31 cm, each album contains 50 albumen photographs mounted on heavy sheets, bound in uniform brown half leather, boards covered with marbled paper, edges gilt. The photographs measure 135 x 100 mm. They have all a printed caption undern…eath. This copy of the Parisian collector Roxane Debuisson ( 1927 - 2018) has been enriched with 15 original pictoral post cards illustrating some of the scenes of the original photographs, loosely addes are another 6 original albumine photographs, post card format (these pictures are faded). Interesting and finely preserved copy which records the devastating combination of the destruction of the city and its suburbs by first : the invading Prussian troops ; and in 1871 the communist uprising.
