In as much as a larger percentage of the poor may suffer from undernutrition and related illnesses, the middle and affluent classes are at risk to suffer from illnesses attributable to over consumption of high calories and rich fatty foods in addition to leading sedentary lifestyle. Such illnesses may lead to death or interfere with functional capabilities of these productive individuals. This book highlights how physical activity and/or diet relates to human health statusin a crossectional correlation design. 84 pp. Englisch.

There was a crucial need to empirically develop a Mental Health Tailored Communicaion Model that could be used to effectively promote healthy dietary and physical activity behaviours among Type II diabetics in Kenya. This model was built on the Theory of Planned Behaviour (Ajzen, 1991) as a foundational framework and creative improvement made using health belief concepts (Glanz et al.,2002) and other important post-intentional factors (Falko, 2005). This book emphasises the applicability of Sequential Exploratory Mixed Methods Design and Structural Equation Modelling techniques in testing the goodness of fit of theoretically nested models. 272 pp. Englisch.
