At the dawn of the atomic age, in the middle of the twentieth century, many bold predictions were made about peacetime uses for the mighty power of the atom. Not even the most optimistic prophets, however, could have foreseen the speed with which the atom would be put to work serving human needs. This is, indeed, the new age of the atom, and there are many urgent questions which must be answered. Interior is tight, clean and unmarked. Hardcover has light green cloth boards with black lettering. Dust Jacket is whole with tears but stabilized with clear contact paper. This copy was privately owned and seldom read.
