William Carleton Irvine (1871-1946), was a missionary, writer and the founding editor of the Indian Christian magazine. This is his account of working for 25 years among the lepers of India. This book was widely read and Irvine and his long suffering wife were held up as model missionaries. Quite a scarce book.

One of only a handful of copies produced, this copy presented to the donor by the compiler. The family had previously made a deposit of family papers in 1953.
