Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good-. Stereotype Edition. Leather covered boards with no titles but small gilt bands on spine. Some edge and corner wear. Book is square and securely bound. Interior pages have some old staining around the edges of the first two endpapers, front and rear but no problems after those pages. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 128 pages; This is the revised version of a popular word book and simple dictionary first published in 1796. This edition is labelled the Stereotype Edition and it was revised and prepared by Rev. John Davis, a Corresponding Member of the Grammatical Society of Paris. Books such as this helped codify English spelling and pronunciation.
