Founded in 1867, the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles is located at 540 South Commonwealth Avenue. This copy is inscribed on the front flyleaf by James W. Fifield, Jr., who served as Minister at the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles for more than thirty years. Additionally, the bulletin for the March 26, 1899 service at the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles and the June 5, 1938 issue of the congregation's The Meeting House newsletter are laid in. Quarto: [iv, 188] pp. with numerous photographic illustrations. Original blue buckram binding, with gilt-stamped titling and decoration. The boards are a little edgeworn, largely at the corners and tips, with some mild edgewear to the dust jacket; otherwise very good.
