Couverture rigide. Condizione: Bon. [Description] N° 21 hors commerce sur Chiffon de Rives sur un tirage total de 225. Nombreux et beaux dessins et eaux-fortes représentant différents gestes sportifs par le peintre et illustrateur André Dunoyer de Segonzac (1884-1974). Les eaux-fortes sont gravées sur cuivre par lui. Les dessins… sont gravés sur bois par Jacques Beltrand. [État] Un peu de frottement sur l'emboîtage. Pages belles. Le papier de soie a été regroupé en fin d'ouvrages. Illustrations depict Olympic sports such as athletics, swimming, boxing, cycling etc. The five sections are as follows: 1) 120 pages of text by Giraudoux, with in-text eaux-fortes dessin-engravings by Segonzac, printed on Imperial Japan paper. Additional 2-page sketch and drawing by Beltrand. The chapters are as follows: Propos généraux sur le sport; Religion et sport; Peuples et intellectuels; Variations; Champions et records; Denombrement du sport en France; Amateurs et professionnels; Jeux Olympiques; Paris sportif. Colophon and index at end. 2) The series of 10 Eaux-fortes engravings by Segonzac (only in the 27 copies). Printed on "Japon Ancien." 3) Series of 15 Eaux-fortes engravings by Segonzac, printed on "Vieux Japon." 4) Series of 50 Pre-Champleve [Champlevage] Woodcuts by Beltrand, printed on Rives. 5) Series of [the same] 50 Woodcuts by Beltrands, printed on Chiffon des Rives. Text in French. Near fine condition. Rare, only one OCLC listing worldwide. From the colophon: "Il a ete tire de ce livre: 27 exemplaires sur Japon Imperial, comprenant chacun un dessin original inedit d'A. Dunoyer de Segonzac, et une suite de dix eaux-fortes sur Japon Ancien, non parues dans le livre.
