The book aims at understanding the functioning of ICT based organization engaged in providing state services to the citizens. The study conducted on e-Seva, an organization set up by the state of Andhra Pradesh to deliver services on ICT platform, through a critical examination of structural and functional aspects delineates the technology-organization interface in e-Seva organization. The book mainly examines the services offered by e-Seva and the response of citizens/consumers availing e-Seva services to understand the extent to which ICT led e-Seva added to the larger goal of governance. The book, however, raises an important concern vis-à-vis operationalization of ICTs in governance as it observes that e-Seva has been grounded on Public Private Partnership model without testing in the public domain, which has implications for cost of services to the citizens/consumers.
