Exceedingly rare facsimile edition of the famed French typesetter's specimen catalogue, with 74 typefaces presente…d, of which 42 were cut before 1600. Carter (1901-1982) was noted British typographer and historian of type, who worked as Meynell's book designer with the Nonesuch Press in the 1930s.
