Original dark brown cloth boards rubbed with light staining and small patches of surface abrasion as well as worn corners; spine's surface cloth entirely perished with underlying paper backstrip exposed lengthwise; joints exposed too but with hinges firm and boards still firmly attached. Some splitting to binding between pages 350-351 but text block otherwise solid. Edges toned; some leaves still uncut at their top edges. Foxing/toning prevalent to several initial and rear leaves particularly frontispiece and pictorial title and their interlaying tissue guard sheet as well as text title page; faint toning and scattered light foxing to interior leaves; occasional creased page corners; pencil writing on rear endpapers. Single volume edition. Sold as is and needs to be re-backed at a minimum.
