Jahrhunderts wurde der Flusslauf zum Schutz vor Hochwassern nach und nach kanalisiert. 2001 fiel der Entscheid, dem Gewässer wieder einen natürlicheren Lauf zu geben. Statt des…simplen Rückbaus des Kanals und der Rekonstruktion des alten Flussbetts entschied sich die Projektgemeinschaft Superpositions für ein Verfahren, das die amerikanische Landschaftsarchitektin Elissa Rosenberg als «topografische Imagination» bezeichnet: Es lässt den Kanal bestehen und verbindet ihn mit einer neuen Auenlandschaft. Der Kanal fungiert so als Indikator für die laufenden Umgestaltungen, als Bezugslinie, die das Erkennen und Verstehen von «Vorher» und «Nachher» ermöglicht. Diese Monografie dokumentiert die vielfach preisgekrönte Renaturalisierung der Aire am Genfer Stadtrand mit Projektskizzen und Fotografien von Bau und neuem Flussverlauf. Die Essays und Erklärungen von Jean-Marc Besse, Lorette Coen, Georges Descombes, G. Mathias Kondolf, Elissa Rosenberg, Gilles A. Tiberghien und Marc Treib zu den Interventionen zeigen, wie das Gewässer wieder zu einem wichtigen Bestandteil der Landschaft aufgewertet wurde.

An important document concerning avant-garde art in Lyon. COMPLETE SETS ARE EXTREMELY RARE: the entire French library system doesn't have a single copy of the preferred issue on Lafuma paper. Laid in is a leaflet advertising an exhibition of "Peintres et graveurs de la Chine Revolutionnaire", printed in 1934 and also quite rare.
