Catalogue contains information regarding the company's chains and sprockets.… Illustrations of various types of chains and sprockets of the company's manufacture is accompanied by information regarding their construction, installation, use and maintenance. Tables of specifications and physical dimensions for varying sizes and models of the products appear throughout. Covers are slightly rubbed; light wear to edges and corners. Bottom right corner of front cover has a small chip. Cloth tag on fore-edge of front cover is stamped with the letter "B"; cloth tag on fore-edge of back cover is stamped with the letter "C". Stamps on front cover indicate that this catalogue came from a catalogue library; one stamp, with date (March 2, 1928) indicates its date of receipt by the library. Front cover has moderate amount of both pen and pencil writing; also bears stamp from the Franklin Institute library in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as a dated stamp (October 1916). Pages are lightly toned around edges, but are clean and free of any markings. Pages 28-39 contain a series of black-and-white illustrations of different types of chains; below the illustrations, specifications are given for that type of chain - pitch, width, pin diameter, average tensile strength, and others. Pages 42-47 consist of a series of technical drawings of chains; pages 42, 43 and 46 contain labeled drawings that are accompanied by a table that gives physical dimensions of the given chain. Page 55 gives two labeled technical illustrations that give the physical dimensions of two different types of detachable hubs. Page 57 contains a table giving maximum hub diameters; attributes measured include Diamond model number, pitch of chain, and number of teeth. Table on page 58 compares diameter of sprocket shafts with the width and depth of the accompanying keyseat. Page 59 contains a series of technical drawings accompanied by a table that gives specifications and physical dimensions for tooth section profiles; specifications include Diamond model number, pitch, roller diameter and roller width. Pages 62-67 have tables that list standard sprocket diameters for differing pitches of chains; factors measured are number of teeth, pitch diameter, outside diameter, and bottom diameter, among others. Covers have faded around edges; spine is especially faded. Sticker on front cover advertising R.M. Barwise, Inc., is peeling. Pencil writing is present in top right corner of front cover. Soft cover. Condizione: Good. Softcover. Tan paper wraps with embossed brown lettering and a blind embossed illustration. Cloth tape spine. 95 pages. Black & white illustrations throughout, including images of the products for sale and photographs of factories and their staff. A folded, single sheet titled "In Writing for Estima…tes" is bound in at the back of the book with a perforated edge. The reverse side of this page is graph paper. Ex-library with few of the typical markings. "Property of Catalog Library" is stamped on the front cover, alongside "Ref" written in ink and a call number sticker pasted over additional writing. Wraps show minor edge wear and a 1" section of chipped paper on the back cover. Some marks from rubbing to the wraps, as well, and a dark smudge on the back. Crown/foot of the spine are chipped. Marks from rubbing are visible on the front free endpaper, and the illustration embossed on the front cover has left an impression on the endpaper and the title page. Binding is cracked at pages 18-19, exposing the glue and stitches. It is also broken between pages 78 and 79, and torn at the top of pages 30-31. Light toning throughout, especially at the edges of the pages. No loose or missing pages and no additional marks or writing.
