Aufnahmen London, Queens Hall Oktober 1928. Selten. Mildred Dilling (1894-1982) war eine amerikanische Harfenistin von Weltruf und wurde auch als "First Lady of Harp" bezeichnet. Sie spielte vor fünf US-Präsidenten und war Mitbegründerin der American Harp Society. Zu ihren Schülern gehörten u.a Harpo Marx, Sir Laurence Olivier und Bob Hope. Sie schrieb auch zwei heute noch benützte Bücher über das Harfenspiel und besass eine der weltgrößten Sammlungen an Harfen, darunter eine, die ehedems Marie Antoinette gehört hatte. Trotz allem gibt es nur wenige Aufnahmen mit ihr, vorliegende und zwei weitere Titel für HMV, 14 für die amerikanische Columbia und zwei LPs für das amerikanische Urania-Label. Sprache: de.

Mildred Dilling (1895-1983) was a concert harpist who performed for five Presidents. She owned the world's largest collection of harps (65 in her apartment alone) and taught Harpo Marx, Deanna Durbin, Laurence Olivier and Bob Hope among others. She performed throughout North and South America along with the orient and Europe. At her peak she was giving 85 concerts and traveling 30,00 miles a year. Her first concert at the White House was for Warren G. Harding and on six more occasions she gave concerts there. Very good clean copy of the photograph. Signed by Author(s).
