Connie Dillman, also a painter, has spent most of her life in the Southwest and her art connects with animals, people forests, deserts, mountains and more. Jacquelyn Speir was born in El Paso to a Mexican mother and and a Southern father and her poetry encompasses the duality of the cultures of her birth. This book is sponsored by the Frontera Women's Foundation which is dedicated to increasing resources and opportunities for women, girls, and their families who reside along the U.S. / Mexican border.
