A collection of aphorisms on morality with sections on the obligations of man, passions, women, differences among men, and the obligations… of society. The book became one of the best selling titles of the era and had numerous translations and editions. Probably translated into Italian by Luigi Guidelli. Wear to extremities, rubbing to covers, label on the spine partially torn. Internally very clean with very mild scattered foxing. A very good copy. In the Italian language. Uncommon. ; 12mo.
