Manoscritto / Collezionismo cartaceo
Four vintage color studio still photographs for the US release of the 1976 Italian film. With a stamp noting production No. 77-502 on the bottom right corner of the recto, and the stamp of a Canadian film distributor on the verso. A dramatization of the later years of notorious libertine Giacomo Casanova (Donald Sutherland), whose innumerable erotic encounters gain him infamy, but gradually eat away at his life's meaning. Fotografia
Vintage oversize satin finish portrait photograph of actor Donald Sutherland in a leather jacket, taken during production of the 1970 film "Kelley's Heroes," in 1969. Stamp of noted photographer Lawrence Schiller on the verso. Sutherland contracted a life-threatening case of spinal meningitis during production, which took place in Yugoslavia, but managed to make a full recovery. From the archive of the PIX Agency, an American photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969. 11 x 14 inches, archivally matted in a 16 x 20 inch 8-ply mat. Near Fine, with a hint of creasing at the corners.
