Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. First Edition. Gray cloth covers with gold stamped lettering and illustration. The covers are worn and scuffed and the lettering on the spine is faded. The end pages are soiled and worn and the rear hinge is cracked, but the text block is still intact with no loose pages. There is a stain on the bottom page edges of the last ten or so pages. Despite the stated flaws, this is a decent copy of a hard-to-find orginal edition of a regional poet's works. ; Illustrated from photos; frontispiece portrait; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 221 pages; Joeseph Dorr was the editor and founder of the Blaine Weekly Journal in Whatcom County in Washington and a locally published poet and author. "Babylon" includes the aforementioned "historical romance" and "The Evergreen Shore," "The Homesick Prospector," "The Ride of '42," and other poems. The last poem is the book is signed and dated by Dorr.
