Seltenes Erinnerungsstück an die letzte Kaiserhochzeit der Doppelmonarchie, zu welchem Anlass der Kapellmeister und Komponist Dostal (1874-1930) eigens den "Zita-Walzer" geschrieben hatte. Vom Verfasser am Vorderumschlag eigenhändig gewidmet: "Herrn Béla Kulka in dankbar…er Erinnerung an den 20ten u. 21ten Oktober 1911 in Schwarzau" (Wien, 9. XI. 1911). - Am 21. Oktober hatte in Schloss Schwarzau am Steinfeld (NÖ) die Trauung von Österreichs letztem Kaiser Karl I., damals noch Erzherzog, und seiner Verlobten Prinzessin Zita von Bourbon-Parma stattgefunden. Schon der Vortag wurde mit einem großen Empfang begangen, 19 Gäste hatten nebst dem Brautpaar an der Tafel Platz genommen, "in einem Nebensaal des Speisesaales stimmte die Musik ihre Instrumente, um dann unter der Leitung des Kapellmeisters Dostal zu konzertieren" (Größing). Am Tag der Hochzeit dann, kam der Kaiser im Salonwagen an und wurde im Schloss mit der ebenfalls von Dostal komponierten "Kaiserfanfare" empfangen, im Schlosspark sangen 400 Kinder. Daß diese letzte Märchenhochzeit im Hause Habsburg ausgerechnet in einer Industrieregion stattfand, mochte dem Umstand geschuldet gewesen sein, daß zu jener Zeit die Missernten der Jahre 1909 und 1910 zu einem massiven Anstieg der Lebensmittelpreise geführt hatten und in Wien die Menschen auf die Straße gingen, es zu Zusammenstößen zwischen Polizei und Demonstranten und schließlich, am 17. September, zu blutigen Ausschreitungen mit drei Todesopfern kam. - Gering fleckig, aber stark lädiert. - Vgl. Sigrid-Maria Größing, "Wir hätten in einem Rosengarten sitzen können".
