This copy is in fine condition with the patterned paper covers over a grey cloth spine-strip with paper spine label all showing virtually NO time or handling wear or dam…age. The corners and edges show virtually no wear and the spine label is clean and firmly attached. The interior pages show no condition issues to mention with the impeccable Grabhorn artistry of design and printing resulting in a beautiful book featuring an eleven-page introduction by then eminent California writer Douglas S. Watson - - and then the printing of the earlier Spanish occupation and planning for California in the late 1700?s. The Grabhorn printing features untrimmed pages, a beautiful fold-out map, a wood-cut portraits of de Galvez and Serra by Zena Kavin - - and the use of red-and-black lettering throughout the text as attractive contrast and textual separation. This edition was printed in 550 copies with the binding done by the Grabhorn Press. 63 pages.
