It chronicles the growth of the Church from its beginnings in New York until the present day primarily through photographs and some drawings. In telling the story of the Mormon Church it also tells the story of frontier photography. Very interesting. It contains "more than 300 rare photographs, most taken by pioneer photographers, that appear in this book and record the growth of the Mormon Church from its earliest years to the present day: its struggles, its triumphs, and its people." Although price clipped, still a fine copy in a fine DJ.
