I realized however that Niagara Falls was much more than a New York State site and that indeed plenty of people from all over the United States knew about it and/or had visited it. And let's not forget our Canadian cousins to the north who can rightly claim that part of the attraction is actually in Canada. Please find: "The State Reservation at Niagara- A History" by Charles M. Dow (Commissioner of the State Reservation at Niagara from 1898-1914). As the Introduction notes, Mr. Dow is a man who from 15 years of experience involved with Niagara, knows what he was talking about. The book is all text; no illustrations . Please see the photo of the Table of Contents for your information. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers are slightly bumped at the corners and spine tips and show some smudges to the finish of the boards, nothing extreme or even easy to see. Inside, the former owners have left their neat bookplate and this is the only mark I found in the book. The interior pages are clean and bright, without toning or foxing. The front hinge is starting and the rear, fully intact; the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
