Through New Plains Review our past and present appear clearly in concert. Each issue helps us see what our university has been and what it can be: how deep our roots are, how steadfast we have been. Our tribal village is vital and alive everywhere we turn. Now, with Deep Fork Anthology -- our most far reaching centennial project from the College of Liberal Arts -- we move away from having only our students participate to embrace faculty and alumni, national figures who recall their heritage, and other writers from across the land who know something special about our state and wish to share it on this special birthday, a birthday that our burgeoning university also celebrates.
