Beige cloth, backstrip & front cover titles and front cover illustration in blue. Rear cover with tan spot-stain of diameter up to 1cm close to upper outer corner. No dust jacket. One… leaf of text - pages 7/8 - with closed tear of length 6.5cm from fore-edge, over which on page 7 a selotape strip of width 1cm; the usual selotape discolouration on page 7 affecting margin and final two words of one line of text, effects overleaf almost negligible. Edges of text-block a little toned, top edge also a little dust-marked. Generally clean and tight. GOOD copy.

The dustwrapper is foxed as usual and has a few very short tears to the edges and a few very tiny chips to the top and the bottom of the spine. No loss to the dustwrapper. The dustwrapper is price clipped. Generally a lovely clean solid copy of beautifully illustrated book. Colour plates and black and white text illustrations throughout by J. H. Dowd. (illustratore).
