Original Cloth. Condizione: Good. First Edition. University of Liverpool plate to front pastedown where it is noted that this was a gift from Sir Dyce Duckworth who wrote the preface. Duckworth has written a gift inscription to the front free endpaper where he has signed it and dated it in the year of publication. There is a little tearing along the surface of the hinge at the front endpapers. There are a few small stains to the front panel of the boards. The rear panel also has some scattered staining. The spine has slight fading to the lettering . Corners bumped and a little frayed at the bottom. The page edges are browned. The pages are also a little browned with some staining to pages 210 and 211 and some annotations in pencil to the last few pages. A few other light marks but the pages are generally otherwise clean and unmarked. No jacket. First printing. Signed by Author(s).…
