Chaman Lal was ordained a Buddhist monk at Sarnath in December 1955. He travelled around the world 51 times and wrote over 50 books preaching the humanitarian message of Indian Culture. On the request of Pandit Jawharlal Nehru he compiled the book, "India the Mother of Us All" to serve as a primer of patriotism for the younger generation. What was initially conceived as a 560 page comprehensive compilation had to be shortened to 160 pages due to shortage of funds. ; "Mr. Lal has studied Japan with a view to the emulation of its genius by his own fellow-countrymen."--p. iv. ; name of LtCol. Masaki was a close associate of General Sadao Araki and his Kodoha or Imperial Way Faction; in 1931, Masaki became Vice Chief of the Imperial Japanese Army General Staff and with Araki began to purge followers of their rival General Kazushige Ugaki who was a cousin and intimate of Admiral Matome Ugaki, who in turn was Yamamoto's chief of staff. The radical Kodoha rivaled the moderate Tooseiha (Control Faction) for influence in the army until the Feb 26 incident in 1936, when Kodoha was dissolved and many supporters were disciplined or executed. James A. B. Scherer (1870-1944) served as the last pres of the Throop Polytech in LA from 1908 to 1920 before it was renamed as Cal Tech in 1921.
