Hardback, cardboard, 253 pages, abundantly illustrated, 4to (21,5 x 27 cm), brand-new copy. "The pure joy of creation that shatters long-held prejudices. A compelling visual overview of the contemporary Czech art brut and outsider art scene in a single lavishly illustrated book. This lavishly illustrated book is one of the very first publications to comprehensively document contemporary Czech artists working in the fields of art brut and outsider art. It presents the works of two dozen self-taught artists from Prague's Atelier of Joyful Creation, which was founded in 2013 and works closely with the Art Brut Prague gallery. Although they face various challenges, the book does not focus on their diagnoses but gives full rein to their unburdened and free imagination. The accompanying texts in Czech and English were provided by the book's editor, Jaromir Typlt, alongside contributions from Vladimir Drabek, Jan H. Vitvar, and Piotr Gierowski. The focus of the publication, however, is on high-quality color reproductions of paintings, drawings, and other works of art." Book Language/s: Czech, English.…
