John L. Dyer, Familiarly Known as "Father Dyer" of the Colorado Conference, published in 1890, describes this part of the world. Kent Gunnufson photographs Summit County with b/w film, where "the mountains reach into the clouds. the waters are cold and blue; the air is crsp and clean; and the snow is light and deep", and over which Breckenridge reigns as county seat.
