Texts by Johannes V. Jensen and several other wellknown writers of the time. First and foremost though are the photographs. Using his masterly technical skills Werner have created stunning and moody images, challenging himself to work in both flickering sunlight, overcast grayness and in snow. Selected as one of the most important Danish photobooks by Ingrid Fischer Jonge in her '28 danske fotobøger', 2006).
