Full tree calf, gilt. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. Harriett M. Bennett. (illustratore). Octavo. [16]ff. unpaginated. "With Spaces for recording Notable Events and Red-Letter Days." 10 pages are accordingly filled in, in a neat copperplate hand, with the events, travels (Milwaukee, Lake Bluff, Chicago, Brooklyn) and baby gifts of Little Jack. Introduction in the form of a poem by E. Nesbit, and a poem by George MacDonald. Contains eleven colorful chromolithograph illustrations by Harriett M. Bennett. Not dated, but since the longhand entries recount the First Steps and other accomplishments of a child born in May, 1895, 1894 is a good guess. A very good copy, in color-illustrated boards backed in cloth. Light soil to covers and wear to extremities. Internally near fine, with neat notations in ink. Family names: Pettigrew; Sisson.
