First edition of this important early work detailing racial relations in 1952 America, high rates of African-American unemployment, discrimination in housing, and that the Presbyterian Church's position should be to block racial segregation. Of special interest is the article by Louis Petersen on Operation Brotherhood which joined the white congregation of the Westminster Church in San Francisco, CA, with the Hope Presbyterian Church in May, 1952.
