Defiance, NM, and the Civil War, where he fought against his classmates who chose the south. In the Civil War he was a Union cavalry commander who was removed by GEN Philip Sheridan and became remarkable entrepreneur and diplomat. A vivid portrait of the man, the soldier, and the times in which he lived. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
