It is a book which compliments it. There has been an upsurge in enthusiasm for items such as the plated models decorating table furniture, pre-production models, paint trials and 'one offs'. This book includes commentary on these and also presents a host of new releases under the 'Models of Yesteryear' label including models in new colours and configurations , as well as new models, new castings and new unusual presentations. Sections include motor Cars, Passenger Vehicles, Fire engine, Commercials, Steam road engines, Railway engine and one offs and odd balls.The reviews in the book go up to the last issue in 1987, the year representing the transfer of production from England to Macau. Three detailed appendices on 'Yesteryears year by year 1956- 1987', 'ones that might have been', and the 'scales' used.
